Nancy Keane was a favorite site of mine during graduate school.  Some of the links are no longer active, but it still has a vast amount of information.  Ms. Keane is a rock star amongst librarians.

Carol Hurst's website is maintained by her daughter.  Carol was a master storyteller, author, and more.

The Association for Library Service to Children includes award winning and notable books.

The Reading Room offers a comprehensive list of websites about books for children and young adults (please note: YA books can contain mature content).

Juvenile Series and Sequels is maintained by the Mid-Continent Public Library and is my go to website when students want to check the order of series.  Check out their KidsWeb also.

npr books has some great children's suggestions.... and links to some interesting broadcast clips.
